IAM Professional Qualifications – Diploma Level

Established in 1915, the Institute of Administrative Management (IAM) is the only professional body for both practising and aspiring Administrative Managers. IAM helps its members to manage information, processes, people and other resources vital to achieving organisational goals. The objective of the IAM is to help administrative managers gain professional qualifications and enable them stay up-to-date with new developments within the profession of Administrative Management. The IAM offers members ongoing
training and development, which is the key to career progression and employability.

Course Title	IAM Diploma in Admin. Mgt.
Duration	One (1) Year to 2 years
What are the entry requirements?	Good secondary qualification at O'Level Open Access for students with relevant work experience Other qualifications acceptable to the IAM for entry
When can i commence study?	September, October, November,January, February, March, April or June each year.
What will I study?	The Diploma is open to anyone who has at least 2 years previous experience or relevant Certificate level qualifications from the iam or other bodies. The Diploma can normally be completed in 1 to 2 years, depending on the time individuals have available. The award is made up of 5 units: Unit 1:People in Organisations Unit 2:Administative Systems and Processes Unit 3: Professional Administration Unit 4: Information for Decision Making Unit 5: Case Study or Project Report
How is the course assessed?	By external examination through the IAM every six months Combined with In-Course Assesments through the College
What next after the course?	Proceed to Advance Diploma level of the IAM examination alternatively, you can proceed to University education or the Institute of Chatered Secretaries examinations (ICSA) examinations.
What is the tuition fee?	The course fee for Home Students is £1500 per annum excluding books, examina-tions fee, professional membership registration and subcription fee to theprofessional bodies. The course fee for overseas students is £3500 per annum excluding books, examinations fee, professional membership registration and subcription feeto the professional bodies. The Postgraduate Diploma Students course fee is £5500 for 18 Months duration excluding books and registration for thesis with the University.
What are my future opportunities?	You can progress to Higher Education and/ or seek employment in the field of Adminstration, consulting/Business Management or work in the Public Sector. You may even decide to become yourown BOSS!
